CORBY TOWN LOOK TO MAKE IT TWO IN TWO – BUT CAN KINGSTHORPE STRIKE BACK?
Here we go again. Corby Town U15 Girls and Kingsthorpe Jets U15 Majesty meet for the second time in as many weekends, but this time, there are crucial league points on the line. Last time out, Corby ran riot, putting five past Kingsthorpe in a commanding 5-1 victory. A repeat performance would see them take control at the top of the table, but football is never that simple.
Corby will have to do it without Tia and Freya this time, giving the opportunity for others to step up. But this is a team that simply knows how to find the net—averaging over four goals per game, they are a constant attacking threat. And then there’s Leila. A goal machine. A finisher with ice in her veins. One more hattrick, and she’ll hit the 20-goal mark for the season.
At the other end, Corby’s defence has been rock solid. Poppy is chasing a fifth straight league clean sheet, and with the backline in such resolute form, Kingsthorpe will have to find something special to break them down.
Victory here could be huge for Corby. It would take them three points clear at the top ahead of their crunch clash with Luton Celtic. The pressure is on, and these are the moments that define a season.
But don’t write off Kingsthorpe just yet. They’ve had a week to regroup, a week to plan, a week to put things right. They know what Corby can do, and now it’s their turn to respond.
So, will Corby take another step toward glory? Or will Kingsthorpe have the last word? It’s all set up to be another fascinating contest. Kick-off can’t come soon enough!
