League Match day 1 - Home vs KJS
Welcome all,

On a cold, blustery, wet day, the U13’s started their 2020-2021 season.

In a frantic start to the game. It took the girls a while to get going in the down pouring rain & this unsteady start by our young ladies, led to a few mistakes, unfortunately for us these were ruthlessly finished by the opposition. A frantic first quarter!
After the first 15 minutes, the girls started to find their feet. Looking more settled in the game we began to play. Our girls’ maintained possession for larger periods and the players started to look more composed on the ball. Now we started to build up attacks and we had a few opportunities that were narrowly missed!
Half time break let us reorganise the girls and we said our bit, the girls were determined to put right the mistakes of the first quarter in the second half. “Let’s go again, & win this half!”
Second half performance was much more like the U13’s with the girls working hard out of possession, determined to win the ball back. & for the remainder of the game our girls took control of the game.
Some clever interplay around the 18 yard box led to a pass across the box and with a smart run coupled with a nice finish leading to us scoring our first goal of the season! Nice finish Banannah!
Defensively more calm and measured with our passes. On the attack our girls created more space for each other and our passes were finding their targets, we had chances to score more goals but these were defended well and were narrowly missed, good effort steel girls!
A good second half performance led to a 1-0 outcome but not enough to overturn the 1st half deficit, final score 1-5 to KJS

A tough result that doesn’t reflect the game you guys produced you all worked hard in the second half to make amends, winning the second half 1-0! Heads up young ladies, we raise the bar next week and go again 
