DATE OF BIRTH:- 6/7/72.
A Welshman from St Asaph, Denbighshire. Mark began his senior career as a teenaged trainee at Manchester City in 1990. He went on to spend the 1992/93 season on the books of Norwich City and finally made his Football League debut after joining Peterborough United in August 1993.
A no-nonsense central defender, on the international front he represented Wales at Under-18 and Under-21 levels.
Mark then made over one hundred appearances for both Mansfield Town and Rushden & Diamonds and spent two seasons with Leyton Orient - the second of which was blighted by injury. Upon returning to fitness he had a brief spell on loan at Aldershot.
In August 2005 Mark joined Cambridge United as player/coach and then dropped into non-league football with spells at Kings Lynn, St Albans City (as assistant manager) and Weymouth.
Mark originally joined Corby Town as Head of Youth Coaching and also worked under Chris Plummer as assistant manager. When Plummer resigned in August 2013 Mark had a brief spell as interim manager before the appointment of Andrew Wilson and Tommy Wright as joint managers.
In 2014/15 Mark joined the staff at the FootballCV Academy as Under-21s coach. In June 2015 he was appointed Head of Academy Coaching at Mansfield Town, working alongside Corby boy John Dempster.
Following the departure of Ashley Robinson from his position as Corby Town manager last week Mark was appointed to the post for the remainder of the 2019/20 season. Weather permitting he will take charge for the first time against bottom of the table Wantage Town this coming Saturday.
