We are delighted to announce the signing of exciting young striker Fletcher Toll.

Toll has been on the clubs radar for a while and after staying with Downham Town for the remainder of last term, he has now agreed to sign with the Steelmen.

The 20 year old has had an electric start to life in the adult game, scoring 32 goals in 37 appearances for Heacham in the 22/23 season at Step 6, before bagging 40 goals in 53 games last term at Step 5, firstly with Heacham before joining up with Downham Town towards the end of 2023.

The youngster has been in demand this summer, rejecting an offer off full time football after being on trial last summer with Kings Lynn Town, where he featured in our pre season friendly with the Linnetts at The Walks.

Toll’s last game for Downham came in the Norkfolk Hire Senior Cup final at Carrow Road, where his Hat Trick helped pull off a massive upset and secure a 4-2 victory over holders Gorleston.

Stechell is delighted to finally secure the youngsters services:

“It is no secret that Fletcher is a player I was very interested in bringing to the club so I am delighted that he has agreed to sign up despite offers of full time football further up the pyramid.

Scoring 72 goals over 2 seasons in the Thurlow Nunn is no mean feat, especially for someone who is still a teenager and learning every week.

Toll is a lad who will really get the fans excited and has a massive future in the game.”
